A Word from Our Pastor. 

  Our attendance was 110 in Sunday school this Sunday.  That is great.  Wouldn’t it be great to have 125 in Sunday school this coming Sunday to kick off Revival?  We can do it.  Let’s pray, invite and encourage one another to be here.

   Revival is upon us.  Are we ready?  Efforts have been made to see that we are.  The Lord led me to preach a series of sermons that I would not have preached if the Lord had not burdened my heart to do so.  Many of you have been praying and some of the women planned a day of prayer for the Revival this Wednesday in the Prayer Garden.  Feel free to stop any time during the day to pray and meditate.  I know many of you receiving this newsletter may not be able to come to the Prayer Garden; you keep praying at home.  Those of you, who can come by and spend some time, please do so.  Pray for Rev. Ridings as God gives him the messages we need to hear.  Pray for our community and pray for one another.  Working together is a must if we experience Revival and most important of all is to remember Revival must begin in individual hearts.  So pray for yourself and your spiritual life.

   We had a blessed day in the Lord on Sunday.  Our attendance is picking up as many of you have had your vacations and are now eager to get back into church and get to work.  Then Sunday night Taylor Childress blessed our hearts with special music and Rev. Lynn Williamson brought an inspiring message on building God’s church.

   Our verse for the month of August is centered around being revived.  Psalm 85:6 “Wilt thy not revive us again:  that thy people may rejoice in thee?”  (KJV).  In the Living Bible, it says:  “O, revive us!  Then your people can rejoice in you again.”

   And all God’s people said:  “AMEN!”

  LADELL’S NOTES 

·         Goodwill Singers – August rehearsals on Wednesday 15 & 29 at 9:00 a.m.  We go to Crawley to sing on August 22^nd at 10:00 a.m.

·         Sanctuary Choir – See you for rehearsal on Wednesday night August 15^th as we prepare for Revival.  You sing, “I Shall Wear A Crown” this Sunday morning.  You do not sing on Sunday p.m., but you do sing Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday evenings.

·         Children’s Choir – NO more Children’s Choir till school begins in the fall.  I will still see you at Sonshine Choir on Sunday mornings!

·         Faith In Motion – Off for the summer.

·         Youth Choir & Group – Charley is giving you a week or two off while we look and plan for the next Fifth Sunday which is in September.  So I’ll see you soon!

·         Praise & Worship Team – Sound check Sunday morning August 19^th at 9:30 a.m.  You sing, “Revive Us, O Lord” & “You Are Good” this Sunday.  Rehearsal Sunday afternoon August 19^th at 4:45 p.m.!  You sing “Refiner’s Fire” Sunday p.m.

·         Adult Tone Chime Choir – No Tone Chime rehearsal in August.

·         Sonshine Choir – See you every Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. in the choir room.  Go to your Sunday School Class first and they will bring you to choir.  Age 4 thru 2^nd grade.  They are scheduled to sing for the baby dedication on August 26^th a.m.

PEAK ENERGY SEMINAR

   A Peak Energy Seminar will be held on Thursday, August 23^rd, at 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Building.  If you are having difficulty sleeping, are under stress, or are tired all the time, this seminar will help you to learn healthy habits to increase your energy level and quality of sleep.  Please sign up on the sign up sheet in the foyer or call the church office.
